Provisioning converged services is a complex and sometimes formidable process. Although converged services are marketed and sold to customers as a single bundle, they typically require separate, parallel fulfillment scenarios. These processes are even more complex downstream because they require the engagement of multiple technology silos. As a result, provisioning times and costs increase substantially, and this limits a service provider's ability to deliver services that have been ordered and to introduce new services flexibly. The Tectonics Service Provisioning & Activation Module enables service providers to automate and optimize the entire service delivery process from service design and resource assignment, to order taking, service turn on, and upstream systems notification.
